The Urban Minority Alcoholism and the Drug Addiction

The UMADAOP of Cincinnati, Inc. serves over 100,000 African American residents within Cincinnati. Programs have been developed to meet the cultural, age-appropriate and social-economic needs of their clientele. They utilize a holistic approach to work toward the prevention of substance abuse, tobacco use and related problems. Focusing on secondhand smoke education and awareness, The UMADAOP wants to eliminate exposure of nonsmokers to secondhand smoke by reducing the number of people exposed to smoking in the home, car and other places.
